Miranda Kerr
With her electric blue eyes, brunette locks, bright smile and lithe 175cm body, Miranda Kerr is the hottest model in the fashion industry. Back in 1997, a 13 year old girl by the name of Miranda Kerr entered Dolly Magazine's CoverGirl Model Competition and won, which was not very surprising. From then on she has modelled for Voodoo Dolls, Levi's, Portmans, Jets swimwear, Lisa Ho, Veet, Bonds, Peter Alexander and walked for Australian designers such as Bettina Liano, Nicola Finetti, Lover, camilla&marc and Leona Edmiston.
Since relocating to the Big Apple, New York, in mid-2004, Kerr has done catwalk shows for Betsey Johnson and Heatherette (just to name a few), scored herself a Maybelline contract alongside with Brazilian supermodel, a regular face of Maybelline, Adriana Lima, modelled for Neiman Marcus and Victoria's Secret who's previous models were Gisele Bundchen, Alessandra Ambrosio and Caroline Winberg.
Back in Australia, Kerr is a regular model for Madison magazine's fashion shoots and the current face of Portmans, having done three commercials for Portmans and one for Veets.
For all her turns on catwalk, glossy photoshoots and appearances in magazines spreads, it's hard to imagine, Miranda, 22, without make-up or hanging with her family and friends. The catwalk's reigning brunette is changing the face of fashion with her beauty; inside and out.
Helen Keller
Helen Keller was an extraordinary woman. She was blind, deaf, and dumb, yet she did so many amazing things in her life. Get ready we're going to Helen Keller's planet.
One day a baby girl was born, her name was Helen Keller. She was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama on June 27, 1880. When Helen was one and a half she had Scarlet Fever, which no one could cure. Soon her fever was over, unfortunatly there were bad effects, and she ended up being blind, deaf, and dumb. She also had a bad temper, which was very annoying to the rest of her family, which included mom, dad, and little sister Mildred. When she was nine she didn’t know it was her birthday. She smelled the fragrant smell of a cake (she liked sweets a lot). She came running in to try the cake but her mother stopped because it was supposed to be a surprise. Later she went upstairs and was mad at her mother for not giving her the cake (because she didn’t understand it was her birthday) and her family ate the cake without Helen.
Her family couldn't stand it anymore, so they went to find a person to help her. After a few months of traveling they found a teacher, her name was Anne Sullivan. Anne helped Helen by teaching her how to speak a special sign language. Helen loved Anne almost as much as her parents. Helen’s parents felt the same way about Anne.
Soon Helen went on her first vacation to Cape Cod on a train. When Helen was ten she started writing poems and stories, and reading. Her parents and Anne were fascinated, and full of joy. Helen really wanted to go to college. But she had to go to a different school, a school for people like her. After 4 years in that school, she graduated and was taken in by Radcliff College. She didn’t care what college it was. She only cared if she learned well. In Helen’s last year at school Anne’s eyes started to hurt but she wouldn’t stop helping Helen. John Masey, a teacher like Anne, started helping Helen instead. Helen thought that John was fond of Anne. She was right! Helen left college with honors.
After college Helen’s dad had died causing it to be a very sad time in Helen’s life. A few weeks later John and Anne had a beautiful, colorful, wedding. This was one of Helen’s most joyful moments. All three of them moved to a beautiful home on the West Coast. Helen decided to be a lecturer and a writer even though Anne and the others said she should be a teacher and pass on what Anne taught her.
Helen wrote 14 books. The Story of My Life won a Pulitzer Prize and a Newberry Award. Helen also went around the world lecturing to people. Later she went to talk to the government about making more books for the blind. Eventually the government listened to her and made more books with braille.
Soon John had died, and Helen and Anne were the saddest they’d ever been. A year later Anne died. Helen cried for weeks and weeks. Anne and Helen were together her whole life and now Helen felt alone. A few years passed and Helen learned how to whisper. She wished Anne could hear her speaking now. Another month passed and Helen could speak more clearly. Helen died a few years later in 1966, at the age of 88.
Angela Merkel
As Angela Merkel now assumes the presidency of the European Union for the first half of 2007, Thierry Meyssan looks back on the amazing career of this communist propagandist in the former German Democratic Republic who made it to Chancellor of the reunified Germany. He emphasises her links with the neo-conservatives and her idea of US leadership in Europe.
Angela Merkel was born in Hamburg in 1954 (Federal Republic of Germany). Shortly after her birth, her family made the unusual choice of moving to the East. Her father, a pastor in the Lutheran church, then founded a seminary in the German Democratic Republic and became director of a home for handicapped persons. He refrained from making any public criticism of the regime and enjoyed a privileged social status, having two cars and making frequent trips to the West.
Angela Merkel was a brilliant student, graduating as a doctor of physics. She married a physician, Ulrich Merkel, whom she soon divorced. She then moved in with Professor Joachim Sauer, divorced like herself but already the father of two children. Angela Merkel obtained a research post in quantum physics at the Academy of Sciences.
At the same time, she became politically involved in the Freie Deutsche Jugend (Free German Youth), the state organisation for young people. She rose within the organisation to the post of Secretary of the Agitprop department, becoming one of the main experts in political communication in the communist dictatorship. For professional and political reasons, she often travelled within the Soviet bloc, above all to Moscow, particularly since she spoke Russian fluently…
Once the GDR had been reunified with the Federal Republic and the Demokratischer Aufbruch had become part of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Angela Merkel was elected member of the Bundestag, the German federal parliament, and joined Helmut Kohl’s government. Although strict in matters of morals, he selected this young childless divorcee from the East living with a partner as Minister for Family, Youth and Women…
From then on, Angela Merkel was publicly supported by two press groups. Firstly, she was able to count on the support of Friede Springer, who had inherited the Axel Springer group (180 newspapers and magazines, including Bild and Die Welt). The group’s journalists are required to sign an editorial agreement laying down that they must work towards developing transatlantic links and defending the state of Israel…
She pushed through the participation of a German contingent in the multinational force under US command in Afghanistan. Then, when Israel intervened in Lebanon, she successfully achieved the involvement of the German navy in the FINUL, arguing that “if Germany’s raison d’ĂȘtre is to guarantee Israel’s right to exist, we cannot say, now that this existence is threatened, that we will do nothing.”

Final Model
An overview of the "Architecture" with its surrounding environment. The unusual looking land-form suggested the idea of change from both the clients Stephen Hawking (change of Space) and Charles Darwin (Change of Animal) and that change is not always a natural process.
The view of the "Architecture" from the sea, note that the upper part of the "architecture" is Steven Hawking 's laboratory while the lower part of it is Charles Darwin's laboratory. It's because that as Darwin have been studying animal for his whole life, therefore it should be close to the nature.
The view of the "architecture" from the forest side, in this view, Darwin's laboratory can be seen more clearly.
The meeting point for the two scientist Steven Hawking and Charles Darwin, where they exchange theirs ideas with each other for the future of human-kind. This place is chosen because it is the mid point of the two scientist's laboratory and that it is easily accessible by both.
The view from Steven Hawking's laboratory, the lab is situated on this side because that as Steven hawking is a scientist studying the space, therefore it should be as close as possible to the sky.
